Masculine Birthday Card with Simple Stamping and Embossing

Does anyone else never have enough birthday cards? Birthday cards are easily the most popular cards I make. I never seem to have enough.  This is especially true for masculine or gender neutral cards. So when I went to my craft desk to make a birthday card, I challenged myself to make a masculine card. I’m glad I did.  I am in love with how this card turned out!

Inside the card

I am currently captivated with two stamp sets, both from Concord & 9th and both new additions to my stash. I love the big, bold sentiments in the Everyday Greetings stamp set.
Concord & 9th: Everyday Greetings

The font is bold and really allows the sentiment to be the focal point of the card. And the sentiments are versatile and can easily be used for various occasions. For that reason, I have found myself reaching for this stamp set a lot lately. For this card, I knew the bold nature of the font would be great for a masculine card.

The other Concord & 9th stamp set I am loving is called Seasonal Borders.
Concord & 9th: Seasonal Borders

The stamps in this set are large, which means making backgrounds with them is easy. I am especially into the watercolor wash stamp, though I have lots of ideas for holiday cards with the two other images. This image is what you make of it, so I knew I could easily use it to make a background for the card.

In the video below I show  you how I put these stamps sets together to make this bold, masculine card. Card measurements and the products I used to create this card are listed below.
